Where NOT to go on dates if you want to keep it cheap

Forbes just released their list of 25 Most Expensive Cities for a First Date. They used the average cost of a men's haircut, a movie ticket, pizza, a bottle of wine, gas, and dry cleaning as their siginificators for this evaluation of cities 200 U.S. cities with a minimum population of 100, 000 people. The top ten list is as follows:

    1. Stamford, CT
    2. Newark, NJ
    3. New York, NY
    4. San Fransisco, CA
    5. San Jose, CA
    6. Oakland, CA
    7. New Haven, CT
    8. Hartford, CT
    9. Seattle, WA
    10. Portland, OR

I'd just like to point out that 6 of the top ten cities are in Connecticut and California. Must be something with the "C" states. Of course, for some great ideas on how to keep your dates on the less expensive side no matter where you are, try some of my tried and true tips and ideas for "First Date Ideas on a Budget".
