Actor Peter Boyle dies at age 71
Best known for his unique take on the classic monster in Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein, and most recently for playing Ray Romano's curmudgeonly father on the 10 year long running sitcom, Everybody Loves Raymond, actor Peter Boyle, died yesterday after suffering from multiple myeloma and heart disease. You can read more about his passing here.
I can remember watching Young Frankenstein with my younger brother and father as a child and how much we always laughed at the now infamous tap-dancing "Putting on the Ritz" scene and the much-mimicked soup and cigar scene.

What a fantastic movie, I've always loved it and he was so great in it. I loved the scene with him and Gene Hackman as the blind man. Take care.
Oh, absolutely. Without question one of Mel Brooks' best, which is in great part due to both his and Gene Wilder's performances. I was terribly saddened to learn of his passing after suffering from these illnesses.
